Babies with ears...mostly

We have had 24 kids born so far this season. I have not been announcing because I have not had pictures available. Here are just a few. We were heavy on the Nubian kids until a week or so ago when the Boer kids started arriving. At this point we are mostly kidding out Boers until our break the beginning of February (two does due February 9th). Then we get a break until mid-March when all hell breaks loose again. We have one doe due March 5th, but the next are not due until the 15th.
The Prevention Pen- 9 kids. 2 bucks, 7 does...8 Nubian (cross) and 1 Boer doe. She was 11.6 pounds at birth.

Shelby's triplet sister Sheila's twins (buck and doe)

The morning they were born was quite cold. The darker is the doe, the lighter the buck. We had seven kids born that day in an 18 hours span. Three does kidded. Twins at 4AM, triplets at 2PM and twins at 8PM. 2 girls and 5 boys.

Shelby is Shiloh's aunt..on the dam's side. Shelby and Sheila (and their triplet sister) were Danielle's last kids. Danielle is Elegance's dam as well.
Not too surprised you like Shelby's elf eared girl.

I forgot to mention in the first post we are looking to kid out around 80 does this year.

Shelby's elf-eared girl is my favorite, too. Although, I gotta say this; ALL your kids are gorgeous!

Shelby's little elf-eared doeling is so funny. Her elf ears are just a bit elf-ier than elf ears, if you know what I mean.

I'm sure there are those who would say they can't be called elf ears, but I just don't know what else to call them. She and her twin sister are 7/8 Nubian, 1/8 LaMancha/Alpine.
I as wrong on a set of numbers tough. There are only 7 in the Prevention pen. 2 bucks, 5 does.
We also just had another set of twin bucks born, so we are up to 26 kids, with 16 of them bucks. I was hoping for nice little meat bucks/wethers out of this breeding.
Leaves 10 more does to kid before our break.

Well, Kim. I'll likely be out tomorrow to see your kids.....lol

Just for fun- here is a picture showing how much snow we got overnight-

Soooo Many Cute little babies, I could take anyone of them! Shelby's twins are too adorable & I still can't believe one with elf ears & one with nubian ears out of the same momma & same birth!
