kids a month away

Winter is flying by and goat kids will be here in a month.

This is our 2nd year to have kids. Any suggestions what I should be doing?

I think that last year, we failed to give the pregnanat doe some type of med while she was carrying. Should I be thinking about CTC now for the mother or possibly a wormer so that it can pass to the babies while inside her?

Any other suggestions? I've been trying to bump up her daily grain too.

Thanks in advance, Mike

Bo_Se, CDT, and possibly wormed if fecal/eyelids dictate it, is given before kidding

I would start your CD & T shots for sure. Make sure they will have a nice dry. warm place out of the wind to snuggle with momma.

I always worm my does' the day of kidding after the kids get good first drinks then again 10 days later.

Some wormers aren't safe for pregnant goats so unless you have a fecal done & find out she is definately overloaded now I would wait on the wormer.
