Hay question

What is better, bermuda or brome hay? I know that alfalfa is best but I do not have a good consistent source for it. I do have one for very good quality bermuda, and found a farm store about 45 min. from us that is selling brome hay, of which I know very little.. Does anyone feed brome or know if that is any better than bermuda? It is a little more money, and farther to drive but if it is a lot better than I guess that it would be worth it..Any input is appreciated..

We feed mostly brome hay. It does a very good job of keeping weight on the does and good milk production. I do not know about bermuda grass hay, however, I do know that the animals, including the goats, avoid eating our bermuda grass patch unless forced to.

We dont have that I know of Bermuda hay available around here and very few alfalfa growers either. So I feed grass mix round free feed, and Brome mix every morning with the alfalfa pellets.
