doe aborted

I am so discouraged. :*(
Myabe its the lack of sleep, but this poor doe has been through it all. Her first kidding got stolen by a predator (either mnt. lion or neighbors dog). Second kidding was dead from a dog attack (doe not hurt), and now I almost lost her 2 nights ago to either polio or listeriosis and tonight she looses those.
I initially treated her for polio, but then she had a slight temp, so I gave her a dose of penicillian. Did I cause this?

No, you didn't cause it. An antibiotic or B vitamins wouldn't initiate labor.

Sorry you've been through all this.

Huggs,
Alice

That's 3 things so she should be done with the bad luck. More like 3 tragedies. I'm sorry. I sure can understand why you would feel discouraged.

Oh how sad and frustrating.

I am so sorry.

I have become very hard on dogs since taking up farming in Alaska.
That would make me so mad.

And then this time she got sick.

I am so sorry.

Bless.

It wasn't you. It probably was her sickness. When the body is compromised, usually the first things to go will be the kids in an attempt to save the mother. Its only natural, but I am sorry.
