My girl is due the day after christmas. No bag yet. I felt one baby not engaged so I sit and wait. But you have got to keep us all updated. and yes you must have the camera ready.

Hooray! A headlamp might also be useful. Sending you positive energy and good wishes for quick, uneventful deliveries, NOT all at the same time. (Been there, done that!)

Yep. Everything's ready. Kids will be moving into the house, so warmth shouldn't be a problem. I have the Bo-Se drawn up and Penicillin in case I have to go in. The milk pail and bottles, plenty of towels, hand sanitizer, flashlight and extra batteries.

ROFL now we all know that CAMERA is one of the most important "neccessities" in any birthing!

Don't forget the Probios Paste. We always give the newborns a big glob of it to get their rumens started.

~nearly faints with relief~ Well, you know that sometimes we get hurried and forget the most important things. You hear about it all the time. Husbands who rush to the hospital, having packed everything needed in the car....except for their pregnant wife who is in labor. Hurried Moms who get costumes sewed and tailored, props made, refreshments cooked and pack...and make it to the school play and get everything set up and all in order and waiting....except for their darling child who is still waiting to be picked up from soccer practice. Goat owners who manage to get THE PERFECT kidding kits together, and in the drama get frazzled and make it out to the barn just in time for the blessed event...without the camera.

These are truly sad situations...but they DO happen. I wouldn't want you to ever suffer such embarrassment by having something like that happen to *you* farmmom. Think of that poor husband 20 years from now, with his wife gleefully telling guests while he is STILL turning bright red, "And he forgot ME!"

So, just watching out for you, yanno. ~nodsnodsnodsnodsnods~

Well, they say things come in threes, but yours seem to be interpreting the adage as a matter of course! If my math serves me, you could go from three goats to a full dozen in a single night!

Best of luck to all of you. (Just don't count of Christmas eve being a 'silent night!")

They will wait until you have been up for 2 nights straight with them and when you are so exhausted you can't hold your eyes open without toothpicks they will all wink at each other and start the labor process!

Yep, been there. House full of guests and me grabbing the kit, "excuse me folks, I'm going out to the barn to sit with the goats." LOL
