Luted some does 11/4... questions

I luted 2 adult boers, 2 boer doelings about 10 months old, and a 5.5 month old mini doe because none of those four came into heat in the 4 weeks after my bucks broke in with my does on 9/26. They were all given 2cc of lutelyse on 11/4, so the does would have been about a month along in pregnancy.

The two adult boer does showed obvious signs of having aborted. Bloody discharge, and heats, 3-5 days after the shot.

The three doelings have not shown signs of heat, or discharge. I've been pretty good about taking my buck (who now lives across the yard in a reinforced pen) on a leash to see the does through the fence to check for heats.

Now, my vet said that if they were not pregnant, they would go into heat 16 days post shot. That was yesterday, and I forgot to take the buck over. I'll be taking him over tonight, so hopefully they're like all my other goats and will have heats that last 2-3 days. Anywho, I was just making sure that the vet gave me the right information because they treat goats like cows and sheep. 16 days post lute shot, they should have a heat, right?

If they don't, I plan on pulling blood and doing pregnancy test.

I gave a doe Lute 11 days after my 3 bucks broke out. I'm almost positive she did not get bred but I was afraid to chance it as she was very small. She came into a raging heat for 2 days, 3 days after the shot, and then in 17 days after the last day of heat.

My vet explained that if they WERE bred, they would go into heat when they aborted 3-5 days after the shot. This was the case for my adult boers. So hopefully when I take my buck over tonight I will see the rest of them in heat too!

Thanks!

My boers were bred to my mini buck. I had planned on breeding them to a nubian, because I can't find a disease tested boer buck anywhere.

Mainly the reason I luted them is because I don't want them to kid in february. I want them to kid early summer, so I can be home for their kiddings. I make it a priority to be home for every kidding, and can't guarantee that I will be if I have classes still. I do have two people 'on call' for my two alpines that are due March 1st, but I don't want them to have to be on call for any more than just the two, especially if I can just breed them later and be fine.
