7 month old buck capable?

I bought a seven month old buckling. I was hoping that he could cover my does and then we would send him to freezer camp to avoid having a stinky boy here in town. Thing is, he doesn't seem to show any interest in the does. No pee sniffing, no buckyness in general. In fact, my herd queen is actually acting bucky towards HIM! He just drops his head and "baas" while she flaps her tongue and licks his head!! I thought that by this age they were more bucky when put in with does??

My youngest buck here is between 4 & 5 months old & already acting bucky. I have Nigerians & a Mini Nubian buck so I don't know if you have full size goats if that makes a difference or not. I plan on using my youngest buck late this fall or early winter for 1 of my girls.

What breed is he? I have two 6 month old Alpine bucks. I don't even have any does with them and they are obnoxious. One will try to breed everything that's standing still and though the 2nd boy isn't quite as aggressive in his attentions, he's still really bucky.

I was at Ebony Farms and her 4-5 month old buckling was blubbering to all the girls and peeing all over himself!

Now Bob was very sneaky about it - a real gentleman, or just an in the dark guy after dinner

I wonder if it has to do with being the new guy in the herd? We used a young buck last year and he was in with our girls for a good 4 months before the girls started flirting with him and he started acting "bucky." When he finally bred the girls, in their first noticeable heat, he was almost 11 months old!! He was a an Alpine/Boer cross.

Hmm. I wonder if it is because he's the new guy. So, if I want my girls bred this month should I go get an older mature buck?

my two little bucks that are 7 months old have also been wanting to mate everything, including the pot belly pig, which was alsolutley hilarious (wished I would have had the video camera) he was just jealous cause the first guy got out when i opened the gate and next to the girls, we were there to pull him off but I think he thought the other was getting some action and the only thing he had next to him was the pig! We have a little boer buckling that is 6 months old and is quiet not stinky and is not in rut, and shows no interest in any flirting. He did get seriously molested when we brought him home 2 weeks ago, by the other 2 boys. (sorry guys I didnt tell you I got another goat 2 weeks ago) ( another buck)

some does gotta have that stank to wanna get it on. I had a two month old buckling cover one of my younger does before I could get him out of there (well really gave it much thought) Had I not seen the gunk of the aftermath I would not have thought he succeeded. Now, its took my new nigerian buckling 6 months to get old enough to show any interest in breeding the girls, hes not as interested as my sr buck but hes getting the job done (or so we hope).
I took a friend buck to be collected this weekend, 3 year old boer, every buck was doing the deed and he showed no interest at all period, considering hes never had kids im hoping the guy puts him in the freezer

Well, he definantly doesn't stink AT ALL. But my herd queen is sooooo interested in him. It is totally flipped around. You would think SHE was the buck!!! LOL. I hope he gets with the program. Otherwise, Ima have to bring another buck!! I want them bred this month!

Oh, btw...he's a "heins 57" meaning I have no idea what's in him as far as breeding!!!
