Help! Doe still not bred

I have a two year old nubian doe that we just can't seem to get settled despite the best efforts of our buck. Last October, she was bred. It was apparent that she didn't settle when she came back into heat. That went on all last season with her being bred and then coming back into heat on her next cycle. We had hoped that she was bred in April because she didn't come back into heat in May even though the others did. However, it is looking like she just didn't cycle in May. No heat cycles for the summer months and then in late August the girls start back cycling and the boys are stinky. Well, this doe apparently didn't catch in April either because she is in full blown heat right now. Any advise on what I can do or should do. I really hate to put this girl in the freezer until I know something more as she is one of our nicer does. I have her sister and have had no problems getting her sister settled. So what are your thoughts/recommendations. Thanks,Kat

I have no suggestions for you but will be glad to hear what the others reccomend trying, So far(Knock on wood) I have not had this problem.

I'm wondering does she have alot of extra weight? I have heard folks say before that after a year old sometimes the doe's carry more body fat & they can have trouble breeding or settleing but I don't know.

Lots of things pop to mind. Its hard to make guesses here though.
Do you Bo-Se?
Give Copper?
Loose minerals?
What does she weigh?
Do you hand breed or pen?
Have you looked at her to make sure she is "right"
When was she wormed and with what?

My girls did the exact same thing. We were maganese defficent Please forgive the spelling. It took us a whole year to figure it out I got Multi min for sheep and goats from my vet and it worked. THen we set out a selnium maganese loose salt. Along with their mineral block. You have to get multi min from a vet.
they will also need a copper bolus as with the buck needing the same as the girls.

I would be leaning toward cystic ovaries. Next time she comes in give her a shot of Cystorelin. 1cc IM then wait 24 hrs and give her another 1cc IM. Worth a shot. !!
