Golden Guernsey Goats?

Anyone keep these cute shaggy goats? Do they have the same type of milk as Guernsey cows dark golden milk? If anyone kept these and raises them. Could you tell me how they are? Thanks!

I also raise Guernseys. They are medium-sized dairy goats that may vary in color from pale gold to russet. The long hair is desireable, but not required. Even shorter haired guernseys tend to have feathers or longer hair than average.

"Golden Guernsey" females are not available in the U.S. there is only one herd that has purebred females, and they only sell males. We have been crossing GG males with swiss breed females and breeding up to British Guernsey. Their milk is white like other goats' milk, but it tends to be relatively high in fat and gives an excellent cheese yield.

Why is it that they don't sell females?

I think initially that it was because they had a limited number. Now I think they want to be exclusively the only herd that can breed purebreds... Betsy would probably know more.

I think Betsy has three does for sale. I know she has one person interested, but they probably won't want all three.
