Vinyl Fencing and fence line weeding

Has anyone tried this with goats? I assume some other sort of fencing would be need to be run along the inside of it to keep them in.

I really like the looks of it and would like to install it on the section of pasture that wraps around the side closest to the house if possible. It would have to be the stuff sold at lowes or Menards due to the high price of having it done pro...

Also, should fences be snug against the ground at the base to keep larger meat breeds in, or is it possible to pull them up a few inches to allow the goats to keeps grass and weeds trimmed down under fence lines? We dont use herbicides and weed wacking acres of fence line all the time will be a huge pain. A lot of people around here dump round up on fence lines.

Goats are not good at that. They are browsers and don't eat grass down well. You might consider sheep.

The cost of vinyl fencing is prohibitive to me.
