We have a number of this year's doelings, as well as, older does available for sale. I have not sat down and gone through the list completely yet, but we will start shipping doelings to the meat market this coming Monday.
Prices depend on the doeling and there is a reduction in cost for multiple purchases.
I am planning on selling mostly Boer cross doelings, but there are a couple of Nubian doelings available as well. The doelings available were born from 1/2010 through 5/2010.
Recordation application papers are available on most of the Nubian doelings (recordable as 50 or 75% Nubian through ADGA-even though most are more). I might be willing to sell my American Nubian doeling born this year as well since I will repeat the breeding this Fall. These doelings start at $85 and go up.
We have a couple of doelings born to a 3/4 Alpine, 1/4 Boer buck and NuPine does. These should make nice family milkers but cannot be recorded with ADGA ever due to the Boer blood in them.
The Boers are sired by a 75% Boer, 25% Nubian buck; a 76% Boer buck; or a Fullblood Boer buck. No papers on any of them. Most of these doelings start at $85 and go up.
This is a commercial herd. They run on pasture, are fed a little grain each day, but are not creepfed. We allow the does to wean naturally as much as possible, so kids are still nursing.
I have some yearling Boer cross does I may sell. They have either been exposed to the Fullblood, or are in now, being exposed for January/February kids. Prices on the exposed yearlings will start at $125.
I also have a couple of yearling Nubian does bred for December kiddings to a Purebred Nubian buck. I have sisters that I plan on keeping and would be willing to let go of them for those needing winter milk. These start around $125 as well.
I am happy to work with you on pricing. These are just basic prices. Some doe(lings) could be had for less. Some are a bit more.
Most are disbudded, but we have Polled genetics as well (mostly the Nubian lines). Some were raised on strict CAE Prevention. Others were dam raised. We have not seen signs of CL (abcesses) in our herd.
The Breeding/Kidding chart on our website is up to date with the kids that were born.
We had 73 doelings born this year and I only plan on keeping less than 20, so lots of options.
I will add pictures in the next few days.
