Thanks, you should have seen them about a week ago when I turned em out into the woods. They looked like walking camoflage because the were covered almost solid with stick tights. I was really amazed at how fast they can clean up a bunch of weeds and woods.

Nice look'n goats! We've been toying around with the idea of adding Boers to our Saanen / Nigerian herd & seeing yours makes me want to really get them!

Are you raising them for your own freezer or going to sell them?

Mainly for selling them for markets. There is a high demand meat in our area. I have to be honest I have not tried goat meat yet.

dont try buck meat the first time, that is quite an acquired taste that I dont see how one does acquire, low and slow is the best way to cook it.

Your girls are nice, they have good shoulder and rumps which is all that you can really use on a goat. Some place to check out is www.thegoatfactory.com if you ever think of doing AI there are some beast of bucks and that way you dont have to rotate bucks every year.
I was into boer goats showing and so on and switched over to nigerians some days I miss em some days I dont.

Nice looking Boers! I enjoy my Boers. I also don't eat them but sell them for meat and for show to the local 4h kids.
