8 week old bottle baby self-weaning?

I have had this nigie bottle baby buckling since he was 2 weeks old. He was a picky eater at first, hated bottled store bought milk (cow or goat), but after much experimentation I found a combo that he would eat. He gets equal parts fresh raw goats milk that I milk from our doe, pasteurized goats milk from the store, and pasteurized whole cows milk from the store. My doe only produces about 12 oz per day because I waited too long to wean her baby and start milking her, so I have to supplement with the store bought stuff (no other access to fresh).

So, he had been taking anywhere from 8-10 oz. three times daily. In the last few days, he has been taking much less at some feedings, usually the morning and mid-day feedings. Sometimes he only takes 4-5 oz then refuses more, but wants to browse and eat hay and nibbles grain. He usually takes the whole bottle at night. Acting fine, playful, normal berries, on cocci prevention program, growing well, fat little baby belly, etc.

Could he be weaning himself already? Should I just give him what he will take and not worry about it? Should I drop down to twice daily feedings? There are so many charts and opinions on how often/how much to feed, it is so confusing!

If he is acting great other than less desire for milk, I would just give him all he wants at each feeding. Some kids eat the same amount of milk no matter how much hay/grain/browse they eat. Others as they start eating more solids, back off the milk a bit.
But I would watch him very closely for the next several days for any signs of distress.

I will do that. I may go grab a temp on him just to be safe, although it is going to be 104 here today so I am sure he will be at least a high normal.
