Is she or isn't she?

This is Clara Bow. If she's pregnant, she should be due around September (I wasn't able to get an exact date, though, so that's just my best guess. They would not cooperate...)

I'm sending in to Biotracking for blood tests for everyone next week (I've actually been meaning to for two weeks, but things kept coming up at the time we'd planned to do it! I have to work it around my dad's work schedule, because he's the only one confident enough to draw the blood. )

So, what do you think? Preggers? If so, guess how many! Just for fun.

Yes - twins. You might be able to feel babies moving now. Wait until you feed her and put your hand flat against her tummy in the area in front of her udder and push upwards just slightly.
And I would copper bolus her now too.

I'll have to try that. I've tried feeling for them before, but not in the right spot, I guess. It would be awesome to feel them, though!

I actually just gave her a copper bolus a couple of weeks ago. I bolused her in the Spring with everyone else, but I don't think I gave her enough for her size. She's quite a bit bigger than the others. I noticed that her hair wasn't slicking down like everyone else's, and gave her another one. It's already improved a lot.

Yup, she's in the Family Way.

I'll go out on a limb and say trips.

I probably would, because that's what I think, too, but I've got three less-round does who I want to test for, too. I'm also going to get them CAE tested while I'm at it. I figured I might as well kill two birds with one stone! Especially since I'm thoroughly dreading the actual process of drawing their blood, and the anxious time of waiting for good results.

Here's hoping for positive preggers and negative CAE!

I think that when they're deficient enough that the hair is off color, they sometimes need a "booster" about 3 months later. Some of mine did anyway and it helped.
That's a really cute little doe. Feel her udder every few days for changes. She should just about be ready to start developing a bag if she's due in Sept. Mine start 6-8 weeks before they're due.

Thanks for the advice I think the copper issue is really bad in this area. Even bolusing twice a year, I've noticed that for some of them it isn't enough.

Thank you. I'm trying to keep a really close eye on her. She's older than the other does (7), and one of my favorites, so I worry about her a lot. I don't want anything to go wrong, or to not be there when she kids.

Also keep an eye on her tail head ligaments as she gets closer to time. If you get in the habit of checking them now, it will be very obvious when they disappear.
