New LGD - Goats

This is NEO our new great pyrenees puppy. Getting along with everyone fine. Just way too hot out there, poor guy, I had no choice but to put him in the basement in a kennel for a few hours.

He's precious!! It's so much fun to watch them grow. They seem to change overnight. I'm sure he'll do a great job for you!

So cute Glad to hear he gets along w/ everyone! (I'm afraid our Pyr pup's gonna be a washout. Came from a farm w/ chickens, guineas, sheep, horses, donkeys, etc. But it's her first week here & she already killed a chicken & chases the ducks & goats so I'm thinking it's back to the drawing board for LGD for us. :/)

Oh, my! That darling little ball of fluff is going to grow into a big guard dog?

He's so sweet.

Is his last name Anderson?

I took him in with chickens and geese/guineas he was pretty much scared of them, Trinity the one yr old pry chases the chickens and the goats but doesnt hurt them. He went right out with the goats when he got here and this morning one knocked him down, poor thing, but he stays his distance. He didnt want anythinng to do with me really the first day or so, now today he has followed me all the pasture and then when I stop he just lays down, loves trinity I think he thinks she is his mom

red...how old is yours. did he/she chase chickens at other farm?

She's 3 or 4 months old. I watched at her breeder's farm and no, no chasing or harassing any animals that I saw. Her sire & dam were there as were 5 siblings, all were normal laid-back Pyrs. Hoping to soon find an adult Pyr to bring in to train her up, maybe being a young & only dog is the issue. Also we have coyotes around here & she'd be coyote meat herself, til she's older & bigger. So she has to be indoors at night. Otherwise Leia is an awesome dog, housetrained in one day & learned sit & stay & down all in one lesson.

Does the HT "pets" forum have LGD folks to ask stuff? Don't wanna further hi-jack your cute puppy post

Great animals, pyrs.
HF - The badger markings usually fade.
