Milking goats again!
After too many years of meat goats I am finally back to dairy goats and goats milk. Rocky, my pretty LaMancha doe is doing well and happy to be getting milked. My milk room is very primitive but open aired for sure.
I still have all 7 of my grade LaMancha bottle baby does from the show sheep folks. I also have 3 registered does, one yearling that I dried off immediately(small for her age) and two pretty doelings. They will be a good match with my registered buck next year. Crusader has awesome flashy kids.
Yepper we are talking about 9 doelings, 1 yearling and one milker. I have tried to sell the grade doelings but I guess folks want them for nothing. Okay, I raised these babies from birth and not going to eat them but if they aren't worth $75 at 4 to 5 months old then they will live here until I find a good home for them. Leia and Maia are half Nubian and very nice down to my preemie baby TinkerBell who is still small but will live here forever. Precious, Semi-Precious, Star, and Unicorn (one large scur), will be good family milkers. I think that with the world the way it is today that someone will want and need them soon.
