Speaking of being creative - mineral feeders?
What do you guys use for loose mineral feeders?
I like the pipe idea, but as many as I'd need - I'd run into $$$ in doing those.
Photos would be nice!

I made one of those vertical PVC feeders, but due to humidity, it didn't work worth a hoot. Now, I just put a pile of mineral in the end of their regular feeder and re-stock it every few days.

Same here with the pipe feeders. You can have the 2 I have. I use those double sectioned mineral feeders from TSC and put mineral on one side and soda in the other.

I made a rectangular holder out of wood with one side minerals and the other baking soda. It's about 18" X 8" and 3-4" deep.

I like the ones I use because they are easy to take apart to clean, they work well and you can find the feeders at any farm store.

The top board keeps them from standing in the mineral. There is also a board running along the wall that their far lip is resting on to make it steady.

Emily yours are very nice! But my LGDs chew on them. I go out with a rubber pan every day risk my life getting mobbed.
The PVC might not work around here in NW WA with all the humidity.

I am having trouble with my PVC one and humidity too. Bummer because I was so proud of myself for making it!
I am going to be switching to a small bowl that is used for dog kennels (it clamps onto the wire so the goaties can't knock it over) and refill daily or as needed (I only have 4 right now). I have baking soda in these right now and it works very well. I attach them with plastic zip ties for extra security. I have several of these from when the dogs were puppies so it is a no cost solution for me!
ETA: I have some like this and also some stainless steel ones:

The humidity here is unbearable most the time. I also use the balck 2 sided dishes from TSC. We have them attached to the wall area in the lean too's & barn similar to the way Emily does.
We have never had a problem with them breaking them or knocking them down.
We tried to make sure they were hung high enough that they couldn't poo in them but they could still also reach them easily.

Just saw some ideas at the 4- fair. Low cost and functional. 5 gal. buck with a window cut out for goat head to fit in for minerals. Lid on bucket and handle to pen with a snaffle.
Also saw 55 gal. drums laid sideways-cut in two-round windows cut in front-and hung. Filled with hay. from back side. I also saw another 55 gal. drum-a slot sawed through the middle almost to the top of the barrell and then around the sides at the bottom were round holes cut out. Again a hay feeder.

I use a gravity-type chicken feeder for loose minerals. Works well and since it is suspended from the roof, they cannot knock it over or climb on it.

I had that problem too, but I took a piece of nylon strapping, a few washers and screws and fixed that! I wrapped the strapping as tightly around the feeder as I could right above the bowl part. They can't knock it off now. The strapping was very cheap and the screws and washers were left over from other projects.

The high humidity is a problem here with the PVC feeders as well.
Do your LGDs have raw bones to chew on?? This might stop them chewing on plastic and save you getting mobbed.

Emily, how do you keep the goats from putting berries in them? It seems if I have anything at that height or less they manage to foul it with poop.
I've put blocks in front so they would have to back uphill and that seems to help.

The top board keeps them from getting their rump right over it, and the feeders are slightly over chest high on my does. They can still easily reach the mineral with comfort, since their heads are higher than their chests/rumps.
Every once in a blue moon I have to fish a few berries out, but very rarely. When I do, the waste is still less than with any other feeders I've tried.
