Burdizzo Castration Question - swelling

We used our new burdizzo for the first time a few days ago. Followed the directions found online, crushed each cord seperately in two places. Checked the little guy last night and one testicle is very swollen, the other is as small as it was when the procedure was performed or possibly smaller. Is this normal? Should I do something about it?

It is normal for the scrotum to swell up after using the burdizzo. I am wondering why it only swelled on one side. The swelling will occur over a period of one or two days, and then gradually reduce over the course of a week or two. After a month or so you should see evidence that the testicles have atrofied.

I guess we will just wait a few weeks and see. Thanks for the advice.
