AI-ing

I think AI-ing would be a good thing to learn while not only for me. But also maybe I could earn a little on the side for doing it. Does anyone know how you would go about doing this. Like learning how to classes getting certified and such?

There are AI technicians who do workshops sometimes. Check who is in your area. There is also an AI training course at the ADGA Convention every fall. They have a beginning course and an advanced course.

I am not aware of any "certification."
Some years the Ohio Dairy Goat Convention (in November) has workshops on doing AI.

Sometimes the people that collect bucks will do workshops....Biogenics and Superior Semen Works come to mind...

The easist option may be to find someone near you that does AI, and ask them to show you.

IMO, the technigue is pretty simple. The tricky part is catching the doe at the right time in her heat cycle.

A friend of mine took a seminar to learn it. We found the notice posted on a sale barn BB, so I really don't know how you would find one in your area. Local vet, maybe?
