Woohoo!!

So pulled 3wk buckling off mom last night so I could get a REAL milking on her this morning. My first real milking of her since she freshened.

She gave me a WHOPPING (for her) 22ounces!! Holy cow!

Still like milking pencil erasers, and how the heck can one goat get her teats that dusty, but hey... I'll take it!

Just had to share!!! This is the same goat that my max from her last year was 4oz (with doeling on her) and I gave up, figuring she was an awful producer and she'd have to be more of the herd 'mascot' than a true working girl. Pleasantly surprised to have an actual measurable amount from her!

(poor buckling not a happy camper, although he did fine since he had company. Was obviously extremely happy to see mom this morning. He did have a little constipation, is that normal? I thought it was probably due to nerves, but does it also have to do with not have a 'laxative effect' from her milk all night long? Or is this something else? )
