Last kids of the year

Boston kidded on Sunday (6/13) with triplets. Two bucklings and a doeling. That puts me at 13 kids for this year out of 5 does. To kick things off, my FF alpine had a single bucking. Then, Cadee had twin bucklings, Daisy had quads (2B/2D), Giselle had triplets (2D/1B) and now Boston with her triplets (2B/1D). Total is 8 bucklings, 5 doelings.

These kids are out of my new buck, who is now proven.

Firstborn was the doeling, a black and caramel trimmed white (may be a very light caramel color):

Secondborn is a black with frosted ears/nose and white star paint buckling - big white spot on his side/armpit:

Thirdborn is a black trimmed caramel buckling; at least I think he'll end up caramel. He's kinda a dusty grey color.

Though the bucklings both were coming head back and the kidding was VERY rough, all three and Boston are doing well. The doeling is now taking the bottle like a champ, and Boston is up walking around.

It wasn't too overwhelming of a buck year - 5 does, 7 bucks for my minis. Not too bad. Plus, I get to eat the bucks so I don't mind - Oddly, I root for bucks. Except out of my dairy does, from whom I root for doelings of course.

This puts my old mini herdsire at 22 doelings, 10 bucklings lifetime. 5 of those bucklings are from this year. I've had my fair share of doe kids, LOL, so one buck year doesn't hurt much.
