How often should a nursing kid be nursing?

My new little week old doeling seems to be a bit confused. Her momma doesn't want to stay in the yard and keeps finding her way back out into the pasture with the rest of the animals, even when she has a friend with her. The doeling though keeps finding her way through the fence and then through the doggy door to sleep in the garage with the dogs. Either one comes to the other when they call, but it also means that the kid is not eating all night. I thought that they would still nurse during the night. I would hate for her to not be getting enough nutrition.

If she wasnt going to mom enough for snacking, she wouldnt be running off.
Unless your up all night how do you know she isnt going tom mom during the night?
If she gets out she can get back in.
Goats, especially kids dont sleep all night.
They are like deer, they see well at night.
