Meconium in birth sac

Just finished kidding! One doeling & one buckling.

Doeling came first, then after almost "giving up", second buckling came along. I helped with the first, then had to go take care of my human kid while DH sat during the second birth. Anyhow....

When I got back out there, just a minute or two after he dropped, he was covered with yellow goo. I never saw that before, so was a bit concerned. We cleaned him off real good before giving him back to mom. I noticed then that he obviously passed his meconium in the birth sac.

We were also able to swab out his nose & mouth. Is there anything else we should do or just be on the lookout for infections (if at all?)?

The Nubian twins I have that were born in January were both bright yellow at birth. I gave each a Bo-se injection, but otherwise did nothing. They are very large and looking great now! It seems that they were probably in stress during delivery, but I would expect yours to do well too.
