new breed

I have nubians and like them, though some tend to be a little loud for my likeing in my suberban neighborhood. I need to get my quiet nubian doe anew friend and wondering if I should go to a new breed. I know its a loaded question based on opinions, I like nubians creamy milk, but never had any other goat milk befor.
MAy it taste different?
Which breed gives the most milk?
Which ones are quiet, &friendly?

There was a Togg I was considering, or a togg/ nub x. Whats the down side of them?
Besides that the x can't be registered.

a cross bred dairy goat can be registered as long as one parent is already registered with the ADGA. The would then be registered 50% of whatever the registered parent is making them a grade experimental. If both parents are registered then they are registered as a 50/50 and considered experimental. Our cross of a togg and lamancha milks the best out of all of our milking goats.

Toggs were bred to have a stronger tasting milk. If you like your sweet nubian milk, I would probably say Kinder or LaMancha.

My Lamanchas are quiet and have high butterfat and mild milk. I have one doe who is very active and in your face but she is still quiet. I have read that some nubians are quiet like yours. Maybe you could find a breeder who is willing to sell you one of her more laid back does.

I'm partial to the saanens as well. Terrific milk and quiet and gentle. I have a nubian that just screams her head off. She tells on everyone. If anything is going on at the barn, I can depend on her to tell me all about it.

Just wanted to say my Alpine girls are very quiet. Even when they are trying to get my attention, they are not loud at all.

My Nigerians aren't loud and the breed averages the highest butterfat of all dairy breeds (6-10%).

I have Nubians and Saanens. I love the Nubians because their milk is richer and I just love the looks of Nubians. I own four and one of those girls is very mouthy. However,
my Saanens are so very gentle and lady like. Their milk is not as rich (however - they give twice as much) but their disposition is a winner.

I have Nubians. I actually asked the breeder to point out the quiet does, and chose one of them. Even when kidding she is quiet. Of course, the doeling I bought at the same time is a bit noisier, but I don't think she is real bad. Especially if there is food in front of her. So if you really like Nubians, perhaps you can find a quiet one.

When I go to a show, the goats that keep me up more than any others are LaManchas!

If you want easy keeping, quiet dispositions, adequate milk higher in butterfat, you may want to try a Guernsey.

One more vote for Nigerians! Their smaller size makes them ideal for the suburban neighborhood. You can physically pick them up and they fit in large dog crates for easy transport. Their milk is sweet creamy and wonderful and you get about the perfect amount for a family assuming you buy from good milking lines.

Saw-nen.

You will usually pay more for them in most places than the Nigerians or Nubians.
I really like them.

You will have everyone tell you different things there - every breed that one person will say has strong flavored milk for cheese making, another person will say it isn't the case. lol
