Registering with ADGA

I've just about decided that I'm going to sell all of the kids. This fibro thing is kicking my butt from here to next Christmas, and I just don't have the stamina.

Just want to see if I have my info straight:

Trub is registered. I have the paper for Beaux Tie, but he's not yet registered.

In order to sell the kids with papers, I have to get Beaux Tie registered, then I can go ahead and register the kids.

After that, I have to tattoo each of the kids' ears.

Then I can sell them as Nubians with papers.

Right?

TIA.

Almost right. You should tattoo before you register.

The rest is correct.

Technically, you're supposed to tattoo before you send the paper work in, although many do it after - or even not at all. For goats you are selling, I would do it before, as according to policy.

You can double check it on the ADGA website under the Members Services tab - then ADGA Tattoo Policy.

Save yourself some money and sell the kids with filled out applications, not full papers. That is the way 100% of the breeders I've ever bought kids from do it. Its the way I always do it. If you buy an adult from me, it has papers. If you buy a kid from me, it has an application all ready to be sent in. Which is why Trub has papers and Beaux Tie has an application.

So send in his application, get him into your name. Then print off applications for the kids from the ADGA site, fill them out, tattoo the kids little ears and send them off to their new homes, each with their own little application.

Standard Procedure.

Thanks, everyone!

Emily, I was trying to remember the way you said to do it, and didn't want to call you AGAIN.
