I love my goats--a few pics

I've not even had my girls home for a week, and I'm already in love. I wanted to share some pics from this morning.

Chessie and Paris

This is Paris. She has some funny scurs, but we love her just the same.

Chessie--right before she tried to nibble my camera

I just wanted to share. I'm so happy to FINALLY have goats of my own!

Pretty girls! Looks like Paris has one of those troublesome scurs that you'll have to keep trimmed away from her head.

Congrats on your girls, I have a feeling they are going to be very spoiled!! Scurs are the bane of my existence. What a pain in the neck. Enjoy your new babies, well, girls.

The lady we bought her from trimmed it up. We were considering trying to band it, but she explained to us the easiest way to trim it, and she didn't have any issues with it bleeding luckily.

Yes, I had an Alpine/Nubian doe years ago with a scur like that. Trimmed it about every six months and all was well. Really made me want to do a good job when I started disbudding my own kids though!
