Introducing my new buck.....

Who doesn't have a name yet! I'm thinking of Amberwood T Handsome Devil. Just cause "handsome" is what I keep calling him.....and his dams name is Pretty.
He is an April kid(almost two weeks old), so he probably will only be used on doelings this fall.

Sire is Triton, dam is Pretty. Both can be found here:

Handsome is right! I wish you were closer, you have nice healthy goats, with different blood lines than can be found around here!

I have to give ALL the credit for this little guy to Joan Coolidge of Amberwood Dairy Goats. Sure does have some nice stock.

He is a very handsome boy - but are you sure you want to add "Devil" to his name? What if he lives up to that part of his name?

I am a little superstitious about names and I almost didn't purchase a buck named Rio the Rebel because of it. No one is allowed to call him REBEL around here, just Rio.

I gotta admit, I'm not a bit superstitious about names. I had a wonderful horse named Rebel, I have does named High Jinks, Shenanigan, Escapade, etc. They are all very easy to work with.

I need something to go with "Handsome" and he is such a "handsome devil" I don't have a problem with the name for his papers. His barn name will be Handsome. I'm sure he will be fine.

Its probably my fault that Pony is superstitious about names though.....

Handsome got disbudded today so he is temporarily not quite as handsome as he was.....

LOL... I wasn't either.. but after talking to Joan last month.. well.. now I guess we are.. just waiting for the Amberwood nubians to start kidding.. do I **NEED** another buckling? (esp. since I'm getting ready to place my orders for BlissBerry & Kastdemur semen!!! It's time to start trying our hands at Ai)... but, when Joan offered a buckling.. I wasn't about to say no .. so soon it will be "scoot over boys and make room in the buck barn.. cause someone else is moving in" LOL

(I'm with Coso.. I've always really liked Pretty, too...) congrats on the new boy.. he is a handsome guy.

LOL... yes, I heard from her earlier this evening.. guess it's "move over boys" for sure.. at least the doe I've been waiting & watching for, finally did kid this morning.. black with frosting, twin does. We are done until Giada, so I'll be able to take off for Joan's, as soon as she's ready for him to leave.

I do too, its one colour I haven't had much in my Lamanchas....seems I am doomed to get a lot of cream and white out of my dark bucks and does.

Nehi, Handsome *is* related to your girl. She would be his cousin on the sires side.

Well....

I'm thinking about renaming the kids again. The blue roan is just so mischievous, I'm thinking of calling her "Naughty Zoot." And the black doe is Zoot's sister, so she must be called "Dingo." (If you've never seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you won't get it. Okay, if you haven't MEMORIZED the movie...)

ANYway, nice looking boy, and yes, he's very handsome. Go ahead and add "devil" to his name. I seem to be the only one having Troubles.
