Domestic Predators

Long story short: Saturday took home some dogs I found exploring my property to their owner (whom has had previous dogs attack my animals), was told "This is your 1 warning. The next time I catch your dogs they go straight to the pound. We will shoot them if they go after my animals." Wednesday I found a pitbull puppy sniffing around. He went straight to the pound and I made no secret of it. I am not going to be the type where I am hiding. I want them to know that I am the red-neck b.... on the hill.Thursday I was out of town but my boy (20 yrs old) was here. He ran off two dogs chasing my pregnant boer. Went and got the 20 gauge and kept watch. Sure enough the Shepard X and Lab came back. Shepard was shot and killed, Pellets got the leg of the lab but he will live. It is a shame because all the neighbor had to do was close his gate. But its been over a week since this has happened and I have not seen a single dog off a leash...

I caught and sent two beagles to the pound last year. Didn't make any secret of it~ they didn't belong up here chasing my chickens. A couple weeks ago I almost had a real problem with a man who drove out to my house to get his beagle back~ and would not believe me when I insisted I did not have that dog! (I guess it was wearing a tracking collar that said it was close) Finally I called a few of my neighbors and another neighbor had caught the dog on his property (bordering my property) and had already called the pound!

Domestic predator?

That might be a pretty good description of the morons who let their dogs run at will, wherever they like. It's really not the dogs fault that the owner cares nothing about their pet, your livestock or your property either for that matter.

Just kill the dog. It will be a lot better off without it's former owners influence.
