WHEN??? (rant)

Okay, I am so happy for everyone whose does are kidding, but I am so tired and frustrated!

My poor doe is lying there, HUGE as a beached whale, and NADA. NICHTS. NOTHING.

I'm at the point where I'm too tired to sleep (though I am going to try again as soon as I finish this).

<sigh>

I can hardly wait to see those babies when they finally get here after all this waiting Trub's making all of us go through!

Well, for your sake, and for ours, I do hope your girl GETS WITH THE PROGRAM.

I know how you feel, and you MUST be exhausted. Try to get some sleep, eh? Hang in there.

I think it's true Pony...make plans to be away and she'll have them. I rushed home from work everyday last week...went no where after I got home...watched her like a hawk...and nothing! Yesterday with my dd home from college I felt a little more relaxed. She said she was going to the mall and checked on my goat and said she wasn't doing anything. So I decided to stop and get some necessities..(bread, sugar, milk, butter) after work and got home to new babies . I had just missed it too because she hadn't expelled the afterbirth yet. It WILL happen! Hang in there!

I have been using up gas. I run out for one errand, come back, go out and run another errand, come back. I had 4 trips out yesterday because I have let my errands build up - she should have it today!

Beached groaning whale - I hear yah! LOL

Thanks! I know it's silly to agonize over this, but it's my first goat, and I've read too many "worst case" scenarios.

I appreciate the encouragement!

Hmm... Think I will run all the way up to the Big Town today, and I'll be SURE to let Trub know all about it! <wink, wink, nudge, nudge>

I got tired of watching my doe and as soon as I left it up to fate (and a good rainy night) she had them. Of course she rejected the doeling so I have goat in the house . And if you remember 2 years ago I said I would never bottle feed again lol.

How are her ligs? Candy's disappeared and then reappeared, then disappeared, then reappeared.

Last year was my first year and I had 2 give birth with triplets 6 hours apart - missed the first one by minutes then Candy was 2nd with one leg back on the first one. It is VERY exciting to double your herd in minutes!

So the "disappearing, reappearing" ligs aren't in my imagination? Phew! That's a relief! It feels like they're gone, but then, next time I feel, it's like they're flattened out but there.

Do you think it would help if I made her get up and take a walk?

just wait until you check her when her ligaments are REALLY gone for good. You'll feel a HUGE difference.. (and know what to feel for next time).. I think taking her on a walk would be great. (for both of you.. stress relief for you.. maybe enough to get the babies moving for her) .. what day is she on? 149? Edith is a Many Names daughter.. she ALWAYS kids on day 151, every year. I know the waiting is hard.

That's right -- I forgot you have Troubles' sister there with you. We're on Day 150 here. We'll see if sisters run alike. Any idea how long Many Names went?

I figured the walk would be good, because it just CANNOT be good for that gal to be lying about and moving only to relieve herself. Didn't go too far for her first walk. She's moving slowly, and it has been a while since she had to walk farther than the food bucket.

The boys thought they should come walking, too. Beaux Tie is becoming obnoxious. I have to carry a stick or a clanking metal bowl I have to keep him from being too aggressive. Either he gets convinced that I am NOT in the herd, or he will have to go away.

Off to boil water... LOL!

can I join you in the waiting game? My girl is doing the same things. she is normally a very quiet lady, the past couple days she has been starting to talk some, when I checked on her last night, she was lieing there moaning, but nothing yet. no goo, but I think she may be a bit moist there, and definitely more pink.
