Cool Chloe's little surprise!

This morning one of our goats had 2 little surprises for us. She had twins this morning and we had no idea she was pregnant. She didnt look pregnant in the slightest and all of the sudden there's 2 babies.

They are really cute and it looks to be that they are from the pygmy buck. He must have got her before we moved him.

I do have a question though, I wasnt there for the birth but I noticed that the male has a extremely long ( the word escapes me at the moment??) but remnant of the umbical cord. The doe was the one that did everything so I am not sure if I should clamp it and then cut it off, or just leave it? You can see it in the pictures.

Very cute!! Congrats! They're beautiful!! When I've had kids with very long cords, I've tied and cut them. I'm always afraid they'll get stepped on an cause a problem, but I may be wrong.

Don't forget to iodine those navel cords, too.

They are SO CUTE! Mama looks like a nice Nubian. If it was the Pygmy buck that bred her, and it looks like he did, YOU HAVE LITTLE KINDERS. I LOVE 'em.

Yes - trim and dip. They are SO CUTE. How much do they weigh?

My 8 FF Nubians are already BIG - waddling and groaning - they have over 3 weeks to go!

They are so cute! Since my doe is taking her good, sweet time giving birth I'm hoping that means my ND buck got to her instead of the nubian buck

That was what I was worried about also. We ended up just leaving it, it has dried up pretty well since I posted this earlier. They are both really cute and friendly.

Already Dipped both of them Lol.

Yup we figure it has to be him as none of her other kids have been this small. Their colors are just so cute.

I would say the doeling weighs 2-3lbs and the buckling 4-5lbs so not very big at all. The Doeling is just tiny compared to the boy.

LOl we decided to keep her as she is just too cute to let go. I have a feeling she is going to be a lot smaller than the buckling.
