This is Nanny, and it will be her 3rd freshening. According to my records she is actually due on March 3rd, but I think it will be sooner. This pic was taken this morning.

She could go to the 3rd.. she's still got some udder filling to do.. but she is a bit *sunken* in the flank area,... what are her teats like? With my nubians the day they kid, those teats will be really full and stiff.. (I sometimes squat down and sort of wiggle them... if there's a lot of *play & movement* I know we still have a bit to go.. when I do it and there's resistance.. well normally we'll have kids sometime in the next 24 hours. Her vulva is showing pink & smoothing out.. but being a 3rd freshener.. I'm going to guess she'll get a bit puffier back there.

I have a doe due the same day.. we'll see who goes first LOL

I just went out and checked and her bag is not tight at all and her teats are still very pliable.

When she was in peak production last year, milking twice daily, there were mornings when her teats were so full I had a hard time getting the first few squirts out. I assume that is what you are referring too?

they won't be quit as tight and full as when she's in full production.. but close..

Everything is good with her today, how is yours Susie?

My FF is doing alot of pawing, but, from first hand experience with Nanny I know that they can paw for weeks.

everyone here is still in *one piece* LOL.. one of my older does lost her plug this morning... so she may be *racing* Ruthie & Amelia to the kidding pens! We've spent this afternoon, cleaning stalls, putting down bedding.. getting the cameras up and going... tomorrow will begin the waiting game!

I think she will wait until the 5th just to keep you wondering, goats are like that you know....lol
