Another Kidding Story

The other day Mys Topline finally went. At 12:30 pm a nice doeling. She took her own sweet time cleaning her up & talking to her.
Maybe a half hr later I saw a pair of front feet. Labor wasnt progressing so I figured it was time to see what the hold up was.
For the life of me I couldnt find the head. In retrospect I had found his chest & could have gone from there. Hindsight.
Called a friend she walked me thru still could not find head.
Decided to call vet who made it by about 3pm. In five minutes she had repositioned the head & got him out then pulled #3 and made sure nobody else was in there.
Little 12 1/2 lb guy didnt make it but his two 12lb+ sisters did.
Left the dead buckling there for enough time for mama to know he wasnt viable.

These were the biggest kids for us ever! They usually weigh in at 6 to 8 or so never more than 10lb for trips.
Buck himself wasnt real big but apparently carries the genes.

Congratulations on a good outcome. Sorry you lost the buckling. I'll bet it was hard to stay calm! Yes, I agree. Pics necessary, soon as you get some rest & recover from this.

Those kids were huge, especially for triplets. It is too bad the buckling didn't make it but at least you didn't loose the momma & the other 2 babies also, Thank goodness you were home.

Can't wait to see pictures!
