Home made barn camera

I have 2 does about ready to kid. I had looked at surveilance cameras on the web, but just didn't feel right about spending that much money on one.
My neighbor had a brilliant idea. He had an OLD cam corder..ya know the old dinasaurs that you had to set on yer shoulder? Anyhow, we set it in place in the barn, turned it on and ran co-axial wire into the house to a TV setting on a dresser in my bedroom. A short cell phone conversation and it was all adjusted accordingly.

I can now watch my goats from my computer chair, right in my own bedroom.I cant get it on the web, but it suits my needs just fine.

OMG what a great idea! Nice thinking there.

I've been needing one for my barn area for over a year, the price has delayed the purchase though. I need something to record at night & when I'm not home, outside, as periodically "things" have been disappearing. Suspect it's a regular visitor.

That is a great idea. I just could not imagine that much wire from my barn to the house.
So glad it worked out for you.

I got my camera on ebay for like $45.00 and that was delivered. I though mine was a good deal, but you beat me.
