My turn on goat watch

I turned the buck in exactly 141 days ago. I believe he bred both girls immediately, however I thought that on the older doe,(Nanny) that it was a date rape, lol. 1 week later he bred her multiple times again.

However, now Nanny is following the Does Code of Honour. She has had small amounts of goo all day at different times. She will stick her neck way out and turn her head sideways and her eyes will be showing the whites. She has been smelling the young does privates. She drops down on her front knees and crawls under the hay bunk and begins scratching the top of her head and back. I guess she itches. She also has been grooming herself on her sides and back. Here is a few pics I took abit ago.

So, is she just playing with me or is she getting close? She is a 3rd time freshener.
Also, should I seperate the 2 does when they do kid, or can I leave them together? Nanny is the dam of the FF and have never been apart.
Please forgive me for the shaving job...it was my first time.

She's playing with you.

I'm going to pen my doe that is doing the same thing tonight, and she's on day 150.

Well great. I have read numerous threads where the poster thought they were ready, and it still be a week or so before they go.

dm9960...thank you for the compliment. Her daughter has almost identical markings.

Gorgeous doe!

She may, for a couple weeks before giving birth, have 'practice contractions' (called Braxton Hicks in people) which help tone her uterus and shift the kids into a good position. With goats, though, is seems like they always get you-- if you are prepared to wait, they kid, if you keep an eye on them, they never will... crazy things.

Really nice doe! It's a good thing you are far away or my DH would kill me, 'cause I'd be making offers on her babies
