any ideas please

Hi everyone. Well let me just say that I know I'm a bad goat mom. But some help would be nice I have no clue if I should be worried or not. About 2 hours ago I feed the dogs and well my son was watching his goat in the livingroom and well he came out to the kitchen without me knowing and well my one dog snapped at him and one it is swelling in the top jaw area and a little under the chin the vets office is closed so what should I be doing for this little one he will be 3 weeks old on monday he did drink some milk about a hour ago
What could I goive him for the swelling?

Drinking the bottle indicates it's not that bad IMO, not a broken jaw anyways, how bad is the swelling now? Breathing is not hindered? Big dog or little one?

I would check the severity of the scratch (to make sure a tooth didn't to through the nose or something) and give a baby aspirin for the pain.
If the swelling is bad I would put a cold compress on it & maybe give some Banamine, but Banamine only if I felt it was absolutely needed.

Otherwise I think I'd just observe, and set the dog up for another round where I could reprimand and correct it while it was in the act.

I just got done feeding the dogs and I was on my way out of the room and the next thing that I heard was the baby crying. I then yelled at the dog and BB(that Is his name ) just came running to me and his whole head was wet from a 95 pound lab

"just done feeding the dogs"

I bet that's your answer, he was too close to the dog bowl...
