overgrown tooth?

My doe has a bottom tooth that is starting to stick out. What do I do about that? Is this something a vet should handle, or is it something I could do myself? I can't imagine her holding still for me to file it down... is there a kind of sedative I can give to a pregnant doe?

Your vet can give a sedative to a pregnant doe, but if the tooth is not interfering with her ability to eat, I'd wait until she kids. You're best to have someone familiar with floating teeth file it down after she kids and if a sedative is needed, it's best to have a vet do that.

I think she's about 4 years old. Do goats' teeth grow continuously, or do they just fall out after a certain age? I'm realizing I know next to nothing about goats' teeth.
