Anyone order from Jeffers?

I just got there spring catalog & was thinking of ordering some things from them instead of getting them at TSC. Free shipping in this catalog if over $49.00, But I have a couple questions about a couple things....

1st the Cydectin Pour-On looks different, is it the same stuff that TSC carries only a different package maybe, I'd hate to get it & find out it wasn't the right thing?

2nd is about the CD & T vaccines..... I know the stuff in my fridge is from TSC & is the Bar-Vac Brand but they have another in their catalog Called Essential 3 + T & is almost half the price as the Bar Vac brand. It looks like the same thing only different name, would you get it or is it better to always use the same brand?

I love Jeffers, though I don't buy these two products from them as I can get them easier and cheaper locally. I buy all my syringes, needles, lambar nipples, etc from Jeffers.

You have to stick with vaccine that you started with. If you want to change over, you have to start out like they are kids, with all the initial doses and then the booster shots.

Cydectin Pour-On is Cydectin Pour-On, no matter the package or picture.

I order from Jeffers and love them. I always seem to spend over $49 so free shipping helps. I have never ordered those products so I can't comment on them. Shipping is super fast also. I think it was 4 days from order placement till the package was at my door.

I almost exclusively get my supplies from jeffers. I also almost always order over 49.00 worth. With free shipping, most if not all equipment is much cheaper ordering through jeffers. I hate TSC for their prices.

I order all the time from Jeffers. Get my vaccines from them as well. Orders get here fast in only a couple of days and I don't have to leave the farm.

We order from Jeffers also. Overall their prices are good as is the customer service. They have made shipping errors on my last 2 orders, though, badly needed items. Even so I will be ordering again from them-they offer many items I use.

Vaccines ship 2-day air, which I have to pay. Noone else is commenting on the 2-day shipping charge for vaccines-perhaps it's just my location. I have to pay those charges, even in winter which makes no sense.

Cydectin is Cydectin, buy it where you find the best price, just be sure it's the same type of cydectin, pour-on vs injectible probably.

Ozark Jewels, are you talking about staying with the same brand of vaccine? I've never heard of this. I switched to Bar-vac a few years ago with no problems, I didn't re-administer the initial doses. How would this work when 2vets vaccinate the same animal at different times? Will you please elaborate?

HF

I order from Jeffers several times a year and love the service. on Jan 1st I ordered from them two jars of the 12.5 Copasure bolous, large goat halter, and two bottles of the Fortified Vitamin B Complex, arrivied within a few days of my order. I have been ordering items from them for probably 8 years +. I alos use Hoegger Supply,PBS Animal Heath, Caprine Supply. Service from all of them is great. Hoegger is a great place to order goat and kid coats, I have several from them I purchased and have been using for yearssssssss. I'm looking at my Hoegger catalog right now and they have a lot of milking supplies, but I don't milk. Ok I gotta put away the catalog's or i'll be making a list.. Sandy

I've never switched brands on vaccines, but when I was considering it several years ago, I asked my vet. She said that if you switch brands(in my case it would be from Bar-Vac CDT to something else), you should start all over again for good coverage. Not a big deal, just a few extra doses, but if I'm going to spend money and time on vaccines, I want to know I'm doing it right for optimum coverage.
I didn't have to switch though, so I still use Bar-Vac.

I love Jeffers, and I buy most all my products not large enough to require freight charges from them . . . so MUCH CHEAPER.
With vaccines though, just for a inexpensive vaccine like CDT and not ordering other vaccinations through them, after you pay for second day air, which is needed for vaccine orders, you're just as cheap to buy it locally. . . I used their CDT, but I always order large vaccine orders for dogs and such and so it works out cheaper. I actually use another place for cow and horses vaccines that is cheaper than Jeffers, but on most things, Jeffers prices can't be beat. I used them for 15 years.

I've ordered from them and love them. They are very fast on shipping. I order about 80bucks of stuff for the goats an in 3 days I had it here at home. I do order from other places too but this company seems to be the best for us.

The 2 items you said I don't order I just purchase it local since a little cheaper on cost it seems.

The reason why you have to do the 2 day shipping (and also strongly recommend the styrofoam shipping box) at all times of the year is to prevent the heat from damaging the vaccines, or to prevent them from freezing in the winter.

I also buy almost everything from jeffers BUT oversized/freight items or small amounts of vaccines. For those items, by the time you factor in shipping costs, they're more expensive than buying locally. If you were buying large quantities of vaccines it would likely be more economical to buy from jeffers than locally. I've only ordered from other places a handful of times. They've never messed up my order or took an unreasonable amount of time in shipping it to me.

The above place, if you're buying vaccines in bulk, esp. horse vaccines with your goat and cattle and dog vaccines - lol - which I do - is cheapest for vaccines.

Thanks everyone, I have to check the price of the Cydectin again at TSC before I order & I'll just keep getting my CD & T from TSC also so it's the same kind & for the amount I need it's not that big of a deal. I will still get my syringes, needle's, etc. & there's a couple other things I want to so $49.00 isn't hard to come up with.

I have ordered things from Hoeggers too, there goat collars are the best & I can't believe the quality for the price! I don't think they'll ever wear out.

Also, you can often find a coupon code for $10 off 50, and even though it makes your order under $49, you still get free shipping.
I've often split a $100 plus order up into two and got $20 off plus free shipping,
and if you can't find a $10 off, you can probably find $5 off.
I did the $10 off two $50 orders at least 3 times this summer. lol.

Certainly nobody is picking up their vaccine from TSC, where it's ran by students and who knows when they really put it in the fridge??? Cringe! Order your vaccines for the whole year, dogs, goats etc...during the winter so you don't have to worry about them getting any heat at all. Vicki

I'm very careful where I buy my vaccines local. I *know* my vet keeps them cold at all times, Having worked in her office, so she gets my business.
