How Many?

This is Velma our 6 year old (as of yesterday, I had to sing happy birthday to her) Nigerian Dwarf doe. I have been guessing she is pregnant as I can't feel a thing inside of her....but by the looks of her I think she is. Her due date is from mid Feb to beginning of March. So what do you all think? How many. She is bred to a mini mancha.

Yep, she's pregnant! LOL! (Yeah, I know; that wasn't your question.)

From the looks of her, I'd say TRIPLETS. She's bred to a MiniMancha? Cool! You *know* we must have pics of the babies when they get here!

Of course pics will be posted, I actually have three due next month, a sable, a lamancha/tog and her. I am so excited, she is an easy kidder usually waiting for me to go somewhere and I come home to dry, well fed, happy babies.

I have stopped wondering and guessing. They always surprise you. My one doe that did not look pregnant this year had surprise triplets last weekend. One last year looked like a house and had a single. This year she still looked like a house and had triplets! I thought my one doe last year was going to have twins, she had quads. Goats like to drive you nuts, it is probably on purpose

I have sat their rubbing their sides and never really felt the babies kicking. Sometimes I have felt like "pinging" and I wonder if that is food moving through their gut.

I wonder what the babies ears with come out as? I bet they will be cute even earless

Funny - she doesn't look like she's started an udder yet (or it's very slight) - so still more than 6 weeks away, lol. And she's already WIDE - good luck with your impending LITTER!

Thaiblue-Last year she was bred to a mini mancha and we had one with ears and one without, and one was white and the other chamosee and white with dorsal stripe.

mygoat- she has an ever so slight udder, but she is one that won't bag up until 10 minutes before she kids. Her mama had quads all the time but Velma has always had twins, so I am thinking it will be two little twins and the extra "wideness" is fluff (aka fat) lol. I am also guessing that she will kid closer to March than mid February, but who knows. I know when she was in with the buck and when she came out of the pen and came home.
