Wow she is cute!
How big is she Kim? My little doe is so tiny. She is 2 months old and so small. I am not expecting her to get very big when she is grown.
I dont know anyone locally with mini nubians but I have a friend with the tiniest pygmy buck I have ever seen.

I am correct that mini nubians are a cross between a ND and a Nubian?

Are Mini Nubians usually smaller than Nigerian Dwarfs? I have 2 NG does and they aren't too small. I love the pics of your little ones!!! Too cute!!!
Dumb question...you referred to her as a "future doe". At what age would she move from kid to doe? Just wondering because I am new to goats. Thanks!

Well she is just 2 months old. So I guess when she gets old enough to breed I will call her a doe lol. I think its her size making me think that I will call her a kid for a long time.

doeling is a very young female goat, yearling doe is one that's a year old, and just a doe is after that. Somewhere in the mix falls the juniors and seniors but those 3 are the only ones I know.

Thank you. Fuzzhead is on the larger side, about 60 lbs at 8 months old. Her dam is an average size Nubian and her sire is a Nigerian that is at his height limit. This is the first mini Nubian I've ever been around too!
I hope you'll post more pics of your girl as she grows. Can we see her mom and dad too? Have you named her yet? By the way, I didn't name Fuzzhead, my friend did because she has a funny little cowlick on her head.

Very cute. So what you really have then is a Kinder doeling which is a Nubian / Pygmy cross.
Yes you were right that Mini-Nubians are Nubian / Nigerian cross. Either way, you're kids are adorable!

OHH sorry, I got confused. Though you were saying that was a pygmy and ya know, I thought it looked much more like a Nigerian!

LOL, I didnt word it well, I just reread it.

I am planning on rebreeding Gretta to my pygmy buck, the one with the snake bit nose.
Then I will have me some kinders!

What is the guideline on age breeding the mini nubians?

They are all adorable! I love her ears too, they definately take after daddy's!

I want a mini nubian too but so far I haven't found anyone around that breeds them. I'm still looking.

She is almost the size of my friends pygmy. He is so tiny, I may breed her to him to see what we get. Probably a really cute pet.
I guess she will be ready to breed by next summer?
