Frankie lost his scur!

Finally! As I was hunting around looking for hubby's car keys that he lost somewhere outside...I came upon Frankie's scur! Went and looked at him...sure enough. There is a little blood but not much. I'm so glad it's gone
Here is how big it was...

My doeling lost hers last week too! I agree...I'm so glad it's gone. We had just trimmed it because it was curling into her head and two days later it was gone...hardly any blood either.

Hey - I have a Frankie, too - and he has one big scur, almost like your Frankie's! My Frankie is a black and white Nubian wether.

Wow that's a big one.

We have some with scurs, rarely get more than 1/2 inch or so before they knock them off. Guess we're lucky.

Have you tried using a disbudding iron on it after it's been knocked off?

Nope...I'm the woos who hid in the truck while hubby took them in to have them disbudded. No disbudding iron here

My Frankie is 1/2 Pygmy 1/2 Nigerian Dwarf. DO you have a Flossie too? That's his sister...

I really don't want to be the one to bust your bubble but I'm pretty sure it will grow back. At least my last bucks always did when ever he knocked it off.
This time of year the flies shouldn't be bad & as long as it's not really bleeding he'll be fine though.

Yeah I hate those scurs too, I think they are ugly, I'd rather have the horns.

LOL, it makes me happy too. They look so much better without those scurs

Frankie sure had a big one. My Tango has two that don't get as long but they curl into his head. I just trim them with a Dremel. He doesn't like it, but it doesn't hurt him.
