Entire Herd to Auction SE Ohio Nov. 14

We recently learned that my dh has terminal stomach cancer and has 6 months to one year to live. I have decided to take my entire dairy goat herd to the Albany Ohio livestock auction on November 14th, next weekend. This is a healthy, disease free herd of 12. Including a registerable Nubian buck, 4 milkers, 6 kids and one two year old wether. Of the 6 kids, 2 are huge 9 month old wethers, and two doe kids are really nice. The four milkers are very nice too and I am desperately trying to dry them off, but they keep milking.

Albany Ohio is located about 5 miles west of Athens ohio, on the Appalachian Highway (SR 32).

Praying for you and dh and that someone will come buy your goats and give them a nice home. Tell your hubby to keep fighting.

Hope someone from this list will find you a buyer before the auction date.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. We really appreciate prayers for Rich to maintain his current level of health for as long as possible.

And thank you for the offers to buy some of my does. Unfortunately that is out of the question for me. I am barely coping. The selling of the goats is unbearable. We have a friend coming to the farm to pick up the whole heard on Nov 14 and take them to the auction for us. That is all I can do and I am sorry.

It will be liberating for me to not have the responsibility of the goats, so I can concentrate on my husband.
