I had intendedto show you pictures of the doelings and buck
I finally got this far

Here is the pics of the spotted buck
and three doelings he will breed for Spring kidding
Thanks for all the "go ahead" breed them now answers

Buck is 8 months old doelings 9 1/2 months olf

They are truly beautiful, but they look ..... zaftig. Fluffy. Chubby. Well padded. Round.

Do Boers have trouble breeding with that much superfluous flesh?

Yes they do breed very well. They are bred to be large chubby and heavy milkers. I have found that they need some extra fat covering to convert to
milk for their growing kids. Remember they are meat goats and carry more
meat/flesh/fat than a dairy goat

I wondered about the difference between my dairy does and those stout beauties!

Like the difference between a Jersey cow and a Hereford, I guess.
