Breeder problem vs Vet?

I bought 2 sheep and a goat from someone that works for my Vet. Since I could not get her to call me back on the 2 sheep, that were delivered to me sick, I called the Vet a week later. Well she showed up with the Vet to do a farm visit and to show me eveything I need to know, which she was suppose to do. The problem, I didn't tell him I had bought the sheep/goats from his employee. When he cam out, he could not figure out how she new how to get to my house. She did tell him that she had sold the amimals to me. He called me the next day and said he could not believe how she had embarrassed the office and him. Now I feel bad, because I never wanted to bring her in to this. It was between her and I, not her work and the Vet. Now the Vet is very mad at her and I can understand his point of view. How would of you handled it?

Any person who sells sick or inferior animals is due any embarrassment they may get from an acquaintance learning of their actions.

You did what you needed to do to take care of your animals. Maybe now she'll be more responsible & do what she's supposed to do too!

I see no reason for you to feel bad. If she knowingly sold sick animals that is her issue to feel bad about not yours. Since she knows you use the vet she works for she should not have been surprised that you called them whether it was for an innocent vet appt or because you were ticked at not being able to reach her.

She should feel bad. At least the vet knows it was not you.
I think you did the right thing.

I hope the seller is paying your vet bill. When she came along on the farm call, I'll bet she already knew what was wrong.

Thanks, I didn't want to start a feud between the two. I have used this Vet for years and I would not use anyone else. But I had to call someone, they were sick. I don't think she sold me sick animals on purpose, it just happened. But she wasn't there, when I needed her the most. I talked to the Vet today, he called to see how the boys were. They are doing well. He did say I should have told him who the breeder was so he would never recommend her again to any of his clients. But he understood why I didn't. Well, thanks for making me feel better.
