If it wasn't heat, what was it?

I dropped the girls down to once a day milking, in the morning. Milking this morning, Dew was all gunky and goopy around her side tail hairs, and ---- running from her vulva (thicker than urine usually is). I call the goat lady to tell her, and by the time she got over to get them (about 4 hours later), they weren't interested in a buck. But, before then, Dew was yelling loudly and had been goopy around her backside. So, I'll get them back tomorrow sometime, but it was interesting that they were't interested in the buck. If it wasn't heat, was it simply a mid-cycle type thing?

On the upside, I can get my goat book back, which has all my dosages in it (wrote them in the back), and give them Bo-Se, B complex, A & D, copper bolus, and their wormer all before the big black buck comes over for a visit to service all my girls (we decided to breed the doelings this year, too, as they are nearing 80 pounds, and probably will be before the buck comes to visit).
