Yearling + teat swollen

I have a yearling actually about 20 months old did not take her first year do she is dry. While I was out milking I noticed that one of her teats is swollen not the udder at all just the teat I would say it is about the size of my thumb if hit with a hammer and was swollen her other teat is about 3/4 of my pinky finger. I was not able to get a feel of it as I can not get into their pen right now hubbie has to do it as I am not sturdy enough on my feet and there has been raining by the bucket full off and on for almost 3 weeks. Any ideas? I will try to get a picture this afternoon.
