I am not sure what the question is......are you asking if it is better to buy an adult goat or a baby?

You get a goat that fits your plan. I started with a six year old and a nine year old.

This time last year, we got bred doelings. But other folks would rather have more experienced does. Just depends on how you want to start.

It depends on what your plans are for the goat. If it's a doe you plan to breed this year, be sure she's nicely grown out and born by the end of April for winter breeding. If you want late winter/early spring kids, get an older doe or a Jan/Feb doeling.
