question on goat shaving

Do you have to shave goats once a year? We had five goats and took 3 to the community fair. We shaved those 3, and so far have not shaved the other two. Is there a reason to shave those two, or will they shed and grow new hair naturally? All 5 are boer goats, and we live in Michigan. Please advise.

Thanks, MODAY

You don't need to shave your goats unless you are taking them for showing. We don't show ours even though they are registered stock so we don't shave them at all.
