Sold the babies, down to 2 does

Ug. I hate selling goats.

Nutmeg went to a milking home.

Sage is going to be a pet/cart goat. (Unusual, I'd say. But she was looking for a young wether who looked like he'd grow big, and Sage fit the bill!)

Basil went to a petting zoo.

So they sound like decent homes.

The 2 girls remaining are Rioko, a 6 year old Alpine, and Yukiko, a 6 year old Saanen. My goat "sisters".

oh how hard that would be...but it's good they went to good homes. That is why I won't have Gretta or Flossie bred...I could never give up the babies!
Hugs to you

I understand. We went from three goats to twenty before I admitted I was addicted and had to sell kids. Sigh.

We are down to....um ..... sixteen.

We always sell the kids & sometimes it's hard but I always just keep remembering that I don't want to have a Gazillion goats, cause then it is WORK & no longer just for FUN. We know we get to play & Love on the Babies for a few months & then they have to go.
If one really tugs at my heartstrings or just can't let them go then they'd have to stay.

DH is really the one that helps to keep me grounded or I'd have all kinds of lots of things.
