I haven't bragged about Clara yet...

I bought *just one more* goat recently, from the same people I bought my other two from. I sold my car, and of course instead of being normal and going to the mall for a shopping spree (yuck!) I buy a goat They really are like potato chips...I think I'm addicted! But, this is really the last one for a while. So my current tally is 6 1/2 - one is preggers (at least she's supposed to be.)

I am really really glad I got Clara, though. She's over height for the NDGA I was told by her owner, and she is bigger than my others. But she has amazing lines as far as milk goes. Her mother is a MCH, too. But I'm most excited about the milk awards. I'm hoping Clara will follow in her ancestors footsteps as far as production goes, so that I can get her tested on the one day milk test. She isn't in milk now, though, so I'm going to breed her to kid in March.

One more thing- she's had quints her last two kiddings! Before that she had one single (her first freshening) and triplets.

Anywho, I'm sorry for bragging, I'm just excited.

Silly thing, what's one of the first things she does? Rub against the fence. Goats are so funny.

She's beautiful...
She's trying to push that fence down. LOL She wants TO BE ON THE OTHER SIDE of that fence!!! On this side all she has are a few blades of grass and some sticks. Ice cream and cookies are on the other side.

"Hey Mom, it LOOKS so yummmmy over there!!"

No wonder you're tickled about Clara; she's a lovely girl. I'd be tickled, too. And, yes. I'd also rather go goat-shopping than at a mall or dep't store. Good for you!

Thanks everyone They really have eaten almost all the weeds down in their pen! The poor little baby trees never had a chance, either...

No, I'm going to breed her to one of the previous owners bucks in October or November I think. She looked like she swallowed a watermelon at first, but she's had some of the baking soda now and her sides have gone down a little.

Some of my Niggies look like watermelons at the end of the day - every day and some don't. I think it must be just part of their genetics.

She is a beautiful girl!

I've noticed that one of them, Brownie, is more predisposed to being a little round. It's funny because one day she'll be as big as she was when she pregnant, and the next she'll look just like the other girls.
