Fur condition on 4 month old pygmy

I'm looking at some goats and thier fur is not slick but fluffy with some mud clods in it and seems real fine. They have 2 different ages and the older ones they got from someone else and they are what I expected goat fur to be, but the babies seem timid and like they need a mom to groom them. Is that normal?

The babies that have the funny fur are about 4-6 months old. They came from a different family then the nice lookng goats, but they came from a better sorce. It was a woman that had several and loved them to death.

They may just need a better diet and minerals. Or they may need to be wormed.

He said he just worms them and does it once a month I'm picking them up this afternoon and hopefully I can get them healthy. What king of feed should I buy and how should I do minerals? Sorry I'm just sort of lost today.
Thanks,
Lori

Once a month is completely unnecessary unless the wormer isn't working and then once a day won't work either. Take some fresh poop to the local vet from each animal to see if they need worming.

I would feed them whatever he is feeding them and over a weeks time switch them to good hay and browse. For minerals get a good loose goat mineral with high copper (1,000+ ppm). Keep that available for them at all times.
